(Notice under Section 15 (3) of the Local Governance Act)
A public notice is hereby given that the Grand Falls Municipal Council intends to adopt a by-law relating to tourism accommodation levy in Grand Falls.
The purpose of this by-law is to provide a sustainable source of funding for the marketing and promotion of the tourism sector in Grand Falls. The by-law will include sections on the application of a 3.5% levy, exemptions, collection and remittance of said levy.
Interested persons may review the proposed amendment at the Clerk’s office at the Grand
Falls Town Hall, 131 Pleasant Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday or
on the www.grandfalls.com website.
Council will meet at the Town hall at 7:00 p.m. on May 17th, 2023 and may proceed with
the first reading at that time.
