A planned interruption of water service is scheduled Today, June 19, 2024, for the residences below, to install the isolation valves to the new underground infrastructure.
Civic number 162 to 314 Portage Rd.
Civic number 70 to 123 West River Rd.
When water service is restored, all water intended for human consumption, formula and juice preparation, ice cube making, fruit and vegetable washing, cooking and dental hygiene must be boiled continuously for 1 minute. Water used for other domestic purposes does not need to be boiled. This notice is in force until further notice and is issued as a precautionary measure. The Municipality regrets any inconvenience this may cause.
Residents will then be connected to the temporary water system for the remainder of the Portage project. Affected properties are also encouraged to see the pamphlet issued to their door for further details.
***IMPORTANT REMINDER - It is essential that you do not touch or change the location of this temporary water line yourself, as this could result in a break and consequently a stoppage in water service to the whole neighborhood.
