PUBLIC NOTICE - amendments to By-law No. 1900 entitled “Zoning By-Law”

(Under Section 111 of the Community Planning Act, 2017, c. 19)

Notice is hereby given that the Grand Falls Municipal Council intends to consider amendments to By-law No. 1900 entitled “Zoning By-Law”.

The objective of the proposed change is to rezone the property bearing PIDs 65106007 and 65106015, belonging to Luc and Enrico Cyr, and located on Thériault Street in Grand Falls, NB. 

The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that the zoning is compliant with the aim of creating lots that can accommodate multi-family buildings.

• Rezone the property having the PID 65106007 from a R1A (Single-unit residential unserviced) zone to a R2C (Single, two-unit and multiple residential) zone.

• Rezone the property having the PID 65106015, north of Martin Street from a R1A (Single-unit residential unserviced) zone to a R2C (Single, two-unit and multiple residential) zone.

• Rezone the property having the PID 65106015, sorth of Martin Street from a R2B (Single and two-unit residential) zone to a R2C (Single, two-unit and multiple residential) zone.

The proposed by-law may be viewed by any interested person on any day, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 131 Pleasant Street, Grand Falls, NB.

A meeting to consider written objections to the proposed changes will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Council Room at Municipal Building, 131 Pleasant Street in Grand Falls, NB.  Any person who wishes to speak for or against the written objections is entitled to be heard.
