Richard (Rick) Blouin appointed Deputy Chief of the Grand Falls Police Force


GRAND FALLS, February 16, 2023 - The Council of the Grand Falls Regional Municipality accepted the appointment of Mr. Richard (Rick) Blouin as Deputy Chief of Police at last night's public meeting. Mr. Blouin officially assumed the position on February 15, 2023.


Rick Blouin has a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, a Certificate in Adult Education and 25 years of experience in the field of public safety, including the New Brunswick Department of Justice and Public Safety. His work ethic and extensive knowledge of provincial and federal regulations make him a prime candidate for this position.


Éric Gagnon, the municipality's CAO said he was delighted with the hiring of Mr. Blouin. "Mr. Blouin's solid experience and diverse training will prove to be a considerable asset in his new position. His passion for sharing knowledge will certainly have a positive impact on the professional development of the members of the Police force.


Chief of Police Suzanne Themens said: "It is a great pleasure for me and my colleagues to welcome Rick Blouin to the Grand Falls Police Force team as Deputy Chief. We wish him well and are confident that Rick's experience and skills will contribute to the growth of the Force.
